Description

The Mitsubishi FREQROL-F800 Series Variable Frequency Drive is a high-performance pump and fan control solution that combines precision and reliability with a wide range of capacities up to 150HP (up to 550HP with DC Link Choke for select variants). Optional 100Mbps Ethernet TCP/IP and BACnet/IP connection enables remote system monitoring, parameter adjustments, and easy integration into existing network environments without requiring additional option cards. Units can operate reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from -10 to 40°C (SLD), to -10 to 50°C (LD). Conformal coating for the circuit board is available with certain configurations.

The FR-D800 series supports 120% starting torque at 0.5Hz (advanced magnetic flux vector control), with an output frequency range of 0.2 to 590Hz. NEMA 1/UL-1 plenum-rated variants are available for stand-alone mounting. This series integrates a filter to limit radio noise interference, and utilizes optimum excitation control with vector drive technology to automatically calculate motor load and maximize energy savings. Advanced features include drive-to-drive communications via internal PLC for controller-free operation, bi-directional coasting motor restart capability to safely catch and control already-spinning motors, and three programmable skip frequencies to avoid mechanical resonance in ducting and pipework.

The FREQROL-F800 Series offers sophisticated control capabilities including dual independent PID loops, pre-charge mode, sleep mode, and multi-motor control for up to four motors, along with selectable responses to loss of signal conditions. The drive provides comprehensive diagnostic tools such as a real-time clock that time-stamps trip messages, an out-of-range warning system to detect broken drive belts and mechanical issues, and advanced power monitoring with pulse train output capability. Settings can be uploaded or downloaded using a standard USB memory stick, while automatic IP address detection streamlines connection and programming through the FR-Configurator software. With UL-approved ratings for single-phase operation, support for high-efficiency IPM motors, and remote operation capabilities for commissioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting from anywhere, the FREQROL-F800 Series offers a highly adaptable solution for demanding HVAC and industrial applications.
