Description

The Mitsubishi MELSEC iQ-F FX5 Series Communication Module provides comprehensive connectivity solutions for industrial automation systems, built to extend the networking capabilities of FX5U Series Programmable Logic Controllers across various industrial communication standards. The FX5 Series module family offers support for both legacy industrial protocols and modern Ethernet-based networks, allowing manufacturers to build scalable systems that bridge operational technology with IT infrastructure. These modules enable the expansion of PLC system's remote I/O capabilities without impacting the total I/O point count of the base system, providing greater design flexibility for complex installations.

The FX5-ENET variant provides standard Ethernet connectivity for FX5U PLCs with data exchange via TCP and UDP protocols for data exchange with Ethernet-connected devices. This model extends CC-Link IE Field Network Basic capability up to 32 intelligent device stations (vs the PLC module's base 16 stations).

The FX5-CCLIEF variant acts as an intelligent device station on CC-Link IE Field Network. This model supports multiple wiring methods including ring, star, and line types.

The FX5-CCLGN-MS variant acts as either a master station or local station on CC-Link IE TSN networks. Enables simultaneous CC-Link IE TSN cyclic communication and standard TCP/IP communication on the same network without interference.

The FX5-CCL-MS variant operates as either a master station or intelligent device station on CC-Link V2 networks. This model supports high-capacity data transmission with precise timing for field device connections.

The FX5-ENET/IP variant offers EtherNet/IP protocol support with simplified configuration via dedicated setting tool. This model enables coexistence of EtherNet/IP with general-purpose Ethernet communication. Data exchange via TCP and UDP protocols with Ethernet-connected devices.

The FX5-ASL-M variant enables connection with AnyWireASLINK fieldbus protocol, and is useful for preventive maintenance such as sensor disconnection detection.
