Description
The SICK RMS1000 Series LiDAR and Radar Sensor is engineered to deliver reliable object detection in the most challenging environmental conditions. Operating across dual frequency bands (61 to 61.5GHz and 80.5 to 81GHz depending on type), this outdoor/indoor sensor combines radar technology with LiDAR capabilities to detect obstacles in heavy rain, snow, dense fog, or dust. This sensor can simultaneously determine radial distance and speed of objects, with an adjustable horizontal apertuyre angle, working range of 0.4 to 100m and support for up to 4 zones. The IP67/IP69 rated enclosure provides protection in harsh industrial environments, with no moving parts for resistance to shock and vibration. The ambient operating temperature range of -40 to 65°C ensures reliable performance across a range of application environments.
The RMS1000 Series utilizes state-of-the-art FMCW radar technology combined with the ability to withstand high-pressure cleaning, making it ideal for continuous outdoor operation. With Ethernet connectivity, future CAN interface options, and digital I/Os, this sensor system offers flexible interface possibilities for seamless integration.
Applications:
- Collision awareness/vehicle detection
- Monitoring and control of water levels
- Docking help for trucks
- Belt loader monitoring with aircrafts
