Description

The SICK LD-MRS Series Lidar and Radar Sensor is a multi-layer scanner suited to rough outdoor industrial applications in stationary and mobile operation, such as in ports and surface mining, measuring and monitoring tasks. Variants offer object tracking or field evaluation. This series scans and measures objects and areas on up to eight parallel planes simultaneously, enabling detection of sloping lanes and compensation for the pitching movements of vehicles. The LD-MRS series can also detect up to three consecutive echo pulses per measurement and plane. With its lightweight, compact design, this sensor family is easily integrated into various applications.

Applications

  • Advanced anti-collision: mining trucks, excavators or aircraft
  • Traffic management or site security applications
  • Measurement data processing: 3D mapping or 3D surface detection
