Description

The SICK SKS/SKM36 Series Motor Feedback System is the first of a new generation of optical motor feedback systems, with 128 sine/cosine periods per revolution. The small code disk of only 2mm code track radius permits holistic scanning, compensating for the common level of eccentricity errors of conventional systems. The SKS/SKM36 Series can handle high angular speeds thanks to the arrangement of the code disk in the middle of the rotary axle. Variants include absolute position indication, with 4096 increments per revolution, with a maximum of 4096 revolutions. Storage of motor-specific data in the electronic type label and the programming are important features of these systems. SKS36S and SKM36S-H variants include SIL2 / Pl d safety level certification.
