The SICK scanGrid2 Series Safety Scanner is a LiDAR multibeam scanner with safe solid state technology. Designed specifically for use with line-guided AGCs and shuttle systems, this compact device (43mm height) features PL c, SIL 1, Type 2 safety protection with a 1.1m protective field range and 4m warning field range. With a 150° scanning angle and configurable resolution options from 50 to 200mm, the scanGrid2 Series provides comprehensive hazardous area protection while maintaining a space-efficient design.

The scanGrid2 Series installation and configuration is streamlined through both the Safety Assistant mobile app and Safety Designer software, with integrated diagnostics and clone functions that significantly reduce setup time. 8 or 16 fields, with local I/O and CANopen connectivity available, this scanner is a versatile safety solution for small vehicle automation applications.
