Description

The SICK UFS Series Fork Sensor offers highly precise label detection and a compact design, utilizing ultrasonic detection technology to identify labels on carrier materials regardless of color, pattern, marking, transparency level, or gloss. The slim lower flange at 5.5mm high, and a 2.6mm wide fork, this sensor can mount directly on the dispensing edge of labeling machines, minimizing belt flutter and optimizing line efficiency. The UFS Series flawlessly detects even the smallest label gaps of just 1mm, with a 440μs response time and 1.1kHz switching frequency. The integrated display provides real-time feedback on teach-in quality and operating reserve. Equipped with an intelligent IO-Link communication interface, the sensor enables automatic reporting of web tears, fine adjustment and analyses during operation, and remote configuration. The UFS Series is a versatile solution for a range of food and beverage, printing, and packaging applications.
